Hary Tanoesoedibjo

Indonesian citizen, 52 years old, lives in Jakarta. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1988, and MBA from Ottawa University in 1989.

He is the founder, controlling shareholder and Chairman of MNC Group, which focuses on three business activities: financial services, media, and property, under the holding company PT MNC Investama Tbk. He directly controls in three subsidiaries of PT MNC Investama Tbk, namely:

PT Global Mediacom Tbk, the largest and the most integrated media group in South East Asia. Global Mediacom is the parent company of 4 national FTA televisions: RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, and iNewsTV, and the largest Pay TV provider through brands Indovision, Top TV and Okevision. Other media subsidiaries include broadband/IPTV provider MNC Play, Koran Sindo, Indonesia’s largest radio network, Okezone.com and many others.

PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk, the parent company that manages a number of subsidiaries in the financial sector: MNC Bank, MNC Life, MNC Insurance, MNC Finance, MNC Leasing, MNC Sekuritas, and MNC Asset Management.

PT MNC Land Tbk, the parent company of subsidiaries focusing on property development and management. Its portfolio includes several office buildings and hotels in Jakarta & Surabaya as well as the most prestigious entertainment & lifestyle projects in Indonesia, such as MNC Lido City, MNC Smart City in Tangerang, MNC Bali Resort, and The Westin Resort & Convention Centre in Bali.

In his spare time, he regularly gives speeches at various national and international media events, as well as general lectures at more than 150 universities in Indonesia covering the topics of entrepreneurship and economics.
